Green Scheme Volunteer
Deliver surplus food direct to community groups with our simple A‑to‑B collection and delivery service in and around central London.
What is Green Scheme?
Volunteers collect surplus food from partnered suppliers: supermarkets, cafes and restaurants, before delivering it directly to local community groups. Unique to the Green Scheme operation, you will oversee the entire food rescue journey from start to finish, contributing to tackling both food waste and food insecurity in a single shift.
Routes are completed on foot, by bicycle or using one of our small electric vans, making it our greenest operation.
You get to pick up and deliver from places you have never been and explore routes that you wouldn’t ordinarily go … everyone is always happy to see our deliveries, particularly as we bring pre-packed and ready-made food items.
