Event Volunteer
Support events that raise awareness, engage communities, and help grow Felix’s impact.
Events play a vital role in raising awareness, engaging supporters, and helping us rescue and redistribute more surplus food. As an Event Volunteer, you’ll support a range of activities that bring our mission to life in the community.
From local markets, school presentations, volunteer fairs and festivals to challenge events and fundraising initiatives – your involvement helps us inspire others to get involved, provide support the participants, raise essential funds where applicable, and continue our work fighting food waste and hunger.
Roles and responsibilities
- Cheering on participants at large-scale events such as runs and marathons
- Assisting with the set-up and pack-down of event spaces, including stalls, signage, and materials
- Welcoming and engaging with members of the public, partners, and supporters at external events
- Sharing information about our work and impact
- Distributing promotional materials
- Supporting the team with event sign-ups, donations and general tasks throughout the event
- Helping to create a fun, friendly, and engaging atmosphere
Requirements for the role
- Aged 18 or over
- Friendly, reliable, and able to work as part of a team
- Comfortable engaging with the public in a busy, social environment
- Able to follow instructions and guidance from Felix staff
- Confident and comfortable presenting in front of a large audience (e.g. schools, colleges and unis)
- Passionate about supporting our mission to fight food waste and food insecurity
- Motivated to support our work and help make a difference in the community
